NY Camp Counselor Shared Child Sex Abuse Material, Police Say
A 22-year-old counselor at a New York summer camp is accused of sharing child sex abuse material. Jonathan Sarasohn, of Great Neck, was arrested following a Greene County Sheriff’s Office investigation into alleged misconduct at Tranquillity Camp in Earlton, according to sheriff’s officials. The investigation was launched on Saturday, July 26. Sarasohn, who works as a waiter and counselor at the camp, was charged with promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child under 17 and possession of an obscene sexual performance by a child, both felonies. Ralph Maltese, beloved husband, father, teacher, and friend, died April 28, 2025, at the age of 78. He was born in the Bronx, New York on December 4, 1946 to the late Leonilda Di Leo Maltese and James Vincent Maltese. Ralph grew up in the Bronx with his brothers, Jimmy and Raymond. When he was 12 years old, his family moved to Ridgefield, NJ where Ralph helped his father rebuild their home. As a child, he loved reading and playing sports in the neighborhood with his friends. Freezing Rain To Glaze Roadways With Ice: Winter Weather Advisories Issued Across NJ, PA
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania as freezing rain is expected to create icy road conditions Friday night, Dec. 27 into Saturday morning, Dec. 28, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The advisory is in effect from 7 p.m. Friday to Saturday. Ice accumulations of up to one-tenth of an inch are anticipated in Sussex, Warren, and Morris counties, in NJ, and Lehigh and Northampton counties, in PA. Emily Madden, a nurse and Clifton resident, died on Sunday, July 21, according to her obituary on the Ferguson Funeral Home website. She was 27 years old. Madden was the valedictorian of Wallkill Valley Regional High School's Class of 2015 before attending college and becoming a registered nurse, right before the COVID-19 pandemic, her obituary says. Snow lovers “were likely looking out the window and counting the flakes" Monday morning, meteorologist Joe Cioffi. All melted quickly in most areas, except in higher elevations to the northwest, he said.
