Driver In Head-On Crash That Killed NJ Police Officer Heading Home From Work Charged
A woman has been charged with vehicular homicide and assault by auto in a June 2020 crash that left a New Jersey police officer heading home from work dead.
Taquaysha Bell, 29, of Trenton, was heading west on White Horse Pike on June 19, when she swerved into oncoming traffic and struck a vehicle head-on, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill announced.

There were two lucky Mega Millions players in New Jersey.
The third-tier prizewinning tickets combined to win $30,000, state Lottery officials said.
Both winners from Tuesday's drawing matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball to win the $10,000 prize. One of those tickets was purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $20,000.
The winning numbers for the Dec. 7, drawing were: 01, 07, 40, 43, and 68. The Gold Mega Ball was 01, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 02.

33-Year-Old Man Struck, Killed By Driving Running Red Light, Police In Atlantic County Say
A 33-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a driver who ran a red light Monday morning in Atlantic County, authorities said.
Michael Doyle, 31, of Tuckerton, was heading east on BlackHorse Pike when he ran the light at English Creek Avenue and struck Anthony Swezeny, of Egg Harbor Township, local police said.
Swezeny was trying to cross the Black Horse Pike from the south to north side when he was hit by Doyle in a 2003 Honda CRV, police said. Doyle then struck a 2021 Chevy van, authorities said.
