Eight people were hospitalized in a series of Route 3 crashes — one of which involved emergency response vehicles — early Tuesday, Sept. 10 in East Rutherford, police said. Police were called to the westbound side of the roadway just after 6 a.m. for a crash involving a white 2015 Land Rover that had lost control and struck a light pole and a guard rail, Police Capt. Jeff Yannacone said. The male driver and female passenger were transported to Hackensack University Medical Center with leg injuries, he said. Child Hospitalized After Being Struck By Van Pulling Out Of Bergen County Driveway
A child was hospitalized after being struck by a van while riding a scooter on a Bergen County street Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 21, police said. The 11-year-old was riding on Boiling Springs Road when they were struck by a 2013 Ford Ecoline E350 exiting a driveway around 4:45 p.m., Capt. Jeff Yannacone said. The child was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries to the calf and upper thigh.
