The Rochelle Park Board of Education rehired a middle school teacher who filed a lawsuit against the district's superintendent and its board after he was suspended last year, NorthJersey.com reports.

Thomas Hornes was approved for rehiring as per the order of a state arbitrator, after alleging a pattern of retaliation by Rochelle Park Schools Superintendent Geoffrey Zoeller and the BOE over the course of two years in a suit, the article says.

A board member and school principal stepped down since Hornes filed the lawsuit last year. Zoeller is expected to step down at the end of the school year, NorthJersey.com reports.

Hornes is still pursuing legal action, the article says.
