Woodcliff Lake firefighters rescue woman in GSP crash

A woman was cut from her car after it crashed through a guardrail and ran off the road on the southbound Garden State Parkway in Woodcliff Lake this morning.

Firefighters from Woodcliff Lake got the woman out and to safety after the early-morning crash just north of Washington Avenue.

The call came in at 7:19 a.m. at the southbound Parkway mile marker 167.6, NJSP Trooper Christopher Kay told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

“The left lane was down for a brief period while the vehicle was being recovered,” Kay said. “The driver was taken to Hackensack University Hospital with a complaint of neck pain. No life threatening injuries.”

The area was cleared by 9:15, he said.
