The 58-year-old Jeep driver was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center, where he was reported in stable condition.
The 5 a.m. crash occurred in the express lanes just south of Exit 70AB at mile marker 118.6 when the rig — carrying orange juice — hit the Jeep after it crashed, State Police said.
The wreckage, removal and investigation blocked both the express and local lanes near the split to Route 80.
A single northbound local lane was later opened.
The NJSP was investigating.
