Texas Man Charged With Swapping Sex Videos With Girl Brought To Hackensack

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- A 20-year-old temp worker from Texas was brought to New Jersey on Sunday to face cyber-sex charges for what authorities said were explicit chats and videos with a 12-year-old Bergen County youngster.

Robert Doverspike of Grand Prarie was being held on $150,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with aggravated sexual assault and two counts of child endangerment.

Doverspike "used the screen names 'rsquared2013' and 'randomrobbie2013' to contact his victim utilizing the social media applications ooVoo and Kik," Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said following his Dec. 3 arrest in Texas.

"During subsequent chats, Doverspike would request and instruct the 12-year-old to create videos and photographs of him/her engaged in various sexual acts," the prosecutor said.

"He would also send images/videos of himself masturbating and instruct the victim to send him the images and videos of the child exploitation," he added.

Evidence was seized during a court-authorized search of Doverspike's home by officers from the Grand Prairie Police Department and Molinelli's Computer Crimes Unit, the prosecutor said.
