State associate justice speaking at Hispanic Heritage symposium for high-schoolers

New Jersey Supreme Court Associate Justice Roberto A. Rivera-Soto will give the keynote address at the Hispanic Heritage Educational Symposium for high school students this week.

Hosted by the Bergen Vicinage of Superior Court, the event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Bergen County Justice Center, 10 Main St., Room 426, Hackensack.

The symposium will celebrate the contribution of notable Hispanic leaders in the legal community. More than 270 youth from 13 area schools will attend.

Chaired by Superior Court Judge Lisa Perez-Friscia, the event also will include remarks by Assignment Judge Peter E. Doyne, Superior Court Judge Estela M. De La Cruz and state Senator Paul A. Sarlo, chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
