Their conditions couldn’t be determined as of late this afternoon, although emergency workers at the scene indicated that their injuries didn’t appear life-threatening.

AirMed One brought the River Vale girl to HUMC just before 11 a.m., a half-hour or so after the crash on River Vale Road, Police Sgt. John DeVoe said tonight, confirming an earlier CLIFFVIEW PILOT report.

The 32-year-old woman was headed southbound in a 2010 Toyota Yaris, about to make a turn near the intersection of Aster Lane, when a 2005 Dodge Ram truck rammed the compact car from behind, DeVoe said.

No summonses were issued either to the woman or the truck’s driver, a 42-year-old Woodland Park man, although DeVoe said an investigation was continuing with the assistance of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office’s Fatal Accident Unit.

River Vale Road was closed between Poplar and Old Tappan Roads until 2:30 while crews cleared the scene and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office’s Bureau of Criminal Identification collected evidence.
