Maywood Pedestrian, 58, Struck

MAYWOOD, N.J. -- A 53-year-old Maywood woman struck by a car Monday night was hospitalized with injuries that police said weren't considered life-threatening.

The woman was in the crosswalk on West Spring Valley Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle turning left from Maywood Avenue with the green light just before 9 p.m., Police Chief David Pegg told Daily Voice.

Maywood EMS took her to Hackensack University Medical Center.

The incident was still under investigation, Pegg said.
