Officer Greg Mulawka said he spotted Robert Johnson inside a vehicle parked in a Park Avenue driveway around 4:45 a.m.

A brief conversation made it clear the car wasn’t Johnson’s, police said.

Officer Matt Parodi arrived within moments to assist. As they took Johnson into custody, however, he began kicking and wrestling with them, Detective Sgt. Tim Moran said.

After subduing him, the officers took Johnson, 35, to headquarters, where he was charged with burglary, theft, two counts of aggravated assault on an officer and two counts of resisting arrest by force.

Johnson, who also goes by the name Robert Harris, was being held on $50,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.
