Hackensack firefighter charged with having sex with 13-year-old girl

ANOTHER CLIFFVIEW PILOT SCOOP: Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli’s investigators and detectives from Englewood and Hackensack today arrested a 39-year-old Hackensack firefighter and charged him with having sex with a 13-year-old girl.

David Fernandez of West Pleasantview Avenue is being held on $200,000 bail in connection with what Molinelli said was a March 1 incident with the girl in Englewood.

The 1991 Hackensack High School graduate, who is single and only just became a full-fledged city firefighter in February, is charged with second-degree sexual assault and child endangerment.

A first Municipal Court appearance in Englewood is set for next Wednesday.
