Come meet the borough's finest at Cafe 46 (388 Route 46 West) from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7.

There'll be no speeches or agendas -- just coffee and conversation aimed at building relationships and understanding.

And the java is on the men in blue.

The majority of contacts the public has with law enforcement comes during emergencies or emotional situations -- not always the best times for relationship-building.

"Coffee With A Cop" is a national initiative supported by the U.S. Justice Department’s Office of Community Oriented Policing Services.

It removes any barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one conversation, one cup at a time.
