The fire broke at St. Joseph’s Church on East Fort Lee Road around 3:30 p.m. and kept responders busy more than an hour.
It was declared under control at 4:40 p.m.
Bergenfield, Englewood, Ridgefield Park, Teaneck and Hackensack firefighters assisted or provided mutual aid.
