Bergen Sheriff's Promotions: Two Lieutenants, Seven Sergeants

HACKENSACK, N.J. – Bergen County Sheriff Michael Saudino promoted seven officers to sergeant and two others to lieutenant, which he said will help keep his office one of New Jersey's premiere law enforcement agencies.

A packed meeting room joined the appointees, Saudino and his command staff, Bergen County Executive James Tedesco and Freeholder Chair Tracy Zur and Rabbi Joel Friedman, who offered a blessing at Tuesday night's ceremony in Hackensack.

  • New Lts. Gabriel Soto and John Lind;
  • New Sgts. Walter Hutchinson, Anthony Turre, James Elliott, James Conway, John Dilkes, Alexander Knaggs and Salvatore Cina.
