MAYWOOD, N.J. -- Joseph E. Polesovsky of Bayville, N.Y., formerly of Maywood and Franklin Lakes, died Thursday, March 31. He was 86.
He was born in the Bronx and attended Cardinal Hayes High School. He was the owner and past president of Astral Air Parts in Elmwood Park, which is still in business serving the aerospace industry. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3426 in Maywood and the Maywood AC.
He is survived by his wife Virginia; children, Arthur and wife Sue; Barbara Brown and husband, Richard; Craig and wife, Franceska; and Denise A. Vulgaris and husband, James; siblings, Theresa Ste Marie, Rosemary Mazo and Thomas; 15 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation is Monday 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Trinka-Faustini Funeral Service, 439 Maywood Ave, Maywood.
Funeral mass is Tuesday at Our Lady Queen of Peace RC Church, Maywood at 10 a.m. Cremation private.
