Katrina Tetschuk — a 9-year student at Midland Park’s From The Top Music Studio — will be performing Pat Benatar’s “Fire and Ice” at the audition.

The Ramapo College sophomore has been in musical theater since she was 3 and is hoping this will be a springboard to a successful career.

“I’ve never done an audition like this before,” Tetschuk said. “I’m good right now, but I’ll probably be nervous on Saturday.”

Tetschuk was nominated for the audition by From The Top founder Lisa Plasse, who was contacted by an AGT producer in September.

Tetschuk and Plasse’s 14-year-old daughter, Amanda — also a student at From The Top — submitted videos of themselves performing. Both got front-of-the-line passes from AGT officials, Plasse said.

The two students will jump the line Saturday morning and audition right away.

“This is what I do and it sort of feels like the next step,” Tetschuk said. “It’s a natural progression.”
