HACKENSACK, N.J. — The shelves in the Passaic Street Dunkin' Donuts in Hackensack were looking rather empty as of 7 p.m. Friday evening.

Employees estimated nearly 500 were given out for National Doughnut Day.

Another local hot spot was Glaze Donuts in New Milford, where hundreds flocked for their free glazed doughnut.
