Bob Quick had set out to raise money to buy iPads for autistic children and raise awareness of first responders like firefighters and police officers.
Jillian Quick came along for the ride, but made a pit stop Sunday to receive a complimentary new look at Parisian Beauty Academy/Paul Mitchell Partner School, thanks to co-owner Harry Comp, Jr.
Comp could tell off the bat the the 32-year-old single mother from Utah, who has a child with autism along with a neurotypical child, probably hadn't taken care of herself in months.
As it turns out, her last haircut was a year ago, and she hasn’t had it professionally done for 10.
The pampering she received brought her to tears of joy and gratitude.
"It’s awesome, different, but I love it!” Quick said.
Her father was even more enthusiastic.
“She looks like a girl again,” he said with a big grin, “a beautiful, beautiful young lady.”
