A traffic stop in Hackensack turned into a drug and weapons bust after detectives found crystal meth, cocaine, ecstasy, prescription drugs, and credit card forgery equipment, authorities said.
D'Andre Wilson, 28, of Hackensack, was arrested near Park Avenue and Midtown Bridge Approach on Tuesday, Aug. 25, following a motor vehicle stop by the Hackensack Police Department's Crime Suppression Bureau, Deputy Chief Gregory Zisa said.

A Long Island man was arrested after his dog was found infested with flies and suffering from open wounds, authorities said.
Cecilio Matthews, 50, of Bellport, was charged with several counts of animal cruelty under state and county laws, the Suffolk County SPCA said Wednesday, Aug. 26.
Investigators determined earlier in the month that Matthews had failed to care for his 10-year-old mutt, Seven, leaving the dog neglected in a yard, according to the SPCA.
