Tractor-Trailer Becomes Fully Engulfed In Flames On NJ Turnpike (Updated) A tractor-trailer caught fire on the New Jersey Turnpike in Burlington County, authorities said. New Jersey State Police responded at 4:11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11 to a vehicle fire on the New Jersey Turnpike south outers, milepost 53.7 in Bordentown Township, according to spokesman Trooper Troy McNair. Upon troopers' arrival, a Wabash tractor-trailer was found fully engulfed in flames, McNair said.  There were no injuries reported and the cause remains under investigation, he said. The right shoulder remained blocked as of 11 a.m., 511nj.org reported.

Driver Killed In Fiery I-295 South Jersey Crash: State Police A driver was killed after his car caught fire on Interstate 295 in Salem County, authorities said.  The crash occurred at 10:29 p.m. on Sunday, April 24 southbound near milepost 5.6 in Carneys Point Township, according to State Police. A black Honda left the roadway and struck a tree, police said. The Honda became engulfed in flames and the driver sustained fatal injuries, police said. No one else was in the car. The driver's identity had not been determined as of Monday morning.
