A 45-year-old Ocean County man has been charged with breaking into his father's house, stealing a laptop and setting a fire inside the home, authorities said.
John Voltolino, Jr., of Toms River, was charged with aggravated arson, burglary, theft, and criminal mischief, in connection with the incidents that occurred on Monday, Sept. 4, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.

South Jersey Man Sentenced In Hotel Stabbing: Prosecutor
A 36-year-old man from Cumberland County was sentenced in connection with a stabbing in a hotel lobby in Toms River, authorities said.
Carles Bryant, of Millville, was sentenced on Thursday, Dec. 1, to 15 years in New Jersey State Prison as an attempted murder charge, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.

Four New Jersey residents were arrested for distributing heroin, fentanyl and cocaine following an investigation involving nearly a dozen law enforcement agencies, authorities said Thursday.
Kevin Collins, 37, and Daysha Kelly, 35, operated out of a Pine Beach home, while Elex Hyman, 49, and Jamie Steen, 38, used a Lakewood home, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.
All four acted together to carry out the distribution scheme, Billhimer said.

Toms River Man Admits Robbing Local Bank
A Toms River man admitted robbing a local bank in 2019, authorities said Wednesday.
Patrick Callahan, 47, passed a note to the teller at the Chase Bank on Route 37 around 3:30 p.m. Dec. 31, 2019, saying he had a gun and then left with $1,000, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.
Callahan was arrested without incident on Jan. 2, 2021, by officers of the Mount Laurel Police Department in Burlington County.
He pleaded guilty to robbery before Superior Court Judge Guy P. Ryan on Wednesday, July 21, 2021.
