Bicyclist, 27, Fatally Struck By Car In Camden County
A 27-year-old pedalcyclist was struck and killed by a car Monday, Nov. 13, in Camden County. Nicholas Krier was heading north on S. Franklin Avenue approaching Route 30, and was struck by a 47-year-old woman operating a Subaru Outback while trying to cross over White Horse Pike, just before 5 a.m. in Berlin, local police said. A witness said the Subaru had a green light when it crossed the intersection of Route 30 and S Franklin Avenue, The eastbound Subaru driver immediately stopped and stayed at the scene. Five people were injured in a head-on crash in Camden County. On Wednesday, Oct. 25, at 3:02 pm, Gloucester Township Police were dispatched to the intersection of Berlin Cross Keys Road at Johnson Road for a report of a collision involving two vehicles where one of the vehicles was beginning to smoke. Several events have been planned to remember two young friends and motorcyclists killed in a multi-vehicle crash earlier this week in Monmouth County. Ka'shon K. Cross, 18, of Hazlet, and Gregory K. A 17-year-old passenger was killed in a collision with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 295, authorities said. The crash occurred shortly before 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 29 on I-295 southbound in Greenwich Township, according to New Jersey State Police. A 31-year-old father from Camden was charged with vehicular homicide in a crash that killed his 8-year-old son, authorities said. An 8-year-old child died and three other people were injured in a Gloucester County crash Saturday, May 27, authorities said. A Subaru driver was passing vehicles in the center grass median and left shoulder along Route 55 north when they struck a Honda on the driver's side and lost control around 1:45 p.m. in Mantua Township, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Hundreds of thousands of Subaru SUVs are the latest vehicles subject to a nationwide recall due to the potential they could unexpectedly catch fire. Victor Lorraine was riding west at 7:37 p.m. on Thursday, May 5 when he struck a Subaru from behind on the Atlantic City Expressway in Hammonton, New Jersey State Police said. Authorities have identified the couple killed in a single-car crash in Gloucester County. The vehicle crashed into a tree on Caulfield Avenue in Deptford on Tuesday afternoon.
