A Philadelphia brewery is opening up a new location on the Jersey Shore that will also offer beer fans a chance to play mini-golf. Meyers Brewing Company will open a sister location in Ocean View, the brewery said in a Facebook post on Saturday, Apr. 6. Longtime Home Depot Employee Killed In Crash Behind Route 9 Store
A longtime Home Depot employee from South Brunswick was killed when his sedan crashed into a trailer behind the Route 9 store where he'd worked. Allen Szucs, 55, was pronounced dead in the superstore's parking lot after his 1999 Chevy Malibu slammed into the parked trailer shortly before 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, police said. A restaurant is re-opening along the Jersey Shore just in time for summer, and an expansion project will give customers many more options. A 61-year-old man was struck and killed as he crossed Route 9 in Middle Township on Wednesday, Nov. 15, authorities said. Lee Nelson, of Rio Grande in Cape May County, was heading east when he was hit by a northbound vehicle at 6:29 p.m., at the intersection with Route 47, Middle Township police said. Motorcyclist ID'd In Fatal South Jersey Crash: Police
Police have identified the motorcyclist killed in.a collision with a flatbed truck in Atlantic County. Vincent Sanborn IV, 49, of Egg Harbor Township died in the collision, police said. The crash occurred at 9:20 a.m. Monday, June 12 on Bethel Road several hundred feet west of Route 9, Somers Point police said. The motorcyclist collided into the side of a MAC flatbed carrier truck, police said. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the crash scene. The truck driver was not injured. UPDATE: The missing girl was found. A 15-year-old girl has been reported missing in South Jersey, authorities said. Jania Alex is described as 5-foot three-inches tall, Lower Township police said. She was last seen walking northbound on Route 9, leaving the Lower Cape May Regional High School. She was wearing a white shirt, black skirt and black Converse sneakers, police said. A motorcyclist was killed in.a collision with a flatbed truck in Atlantic County, authorities said. The crash occurred at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, June 13 on Bethel Road several hundred feet west of Route 9, Somers Point police said. A 34-year-old swimmer visiting from Guyana — or the "Land of Many Waters" — was struck and killed by a vehicle while in a crosswalk in Freehold Township, authorities said. Tolls Going Up On Atlantic City Expressway
Tolls on the Atlantic City Expressway are going up next year, officials said on Thursday, Nov. 17. Starting Jan. 1, 2023, cash tolls on the 44-mile Expressway’s Egg Harbor and Route 50 toll plazas will increase from $4.40 to $4.55 for a passenger vehicle. Expressway tolls are going up by 3% from year to year, said Kimberly Testa, a spokeswoman with the South Jersey Transportation Authority.
