NJ Dad Killed By Train At NY Penn Station After Holiday Party: MTA A 36-year-old New Jersey dad was struck and killed by a train at New York Penn Station after a holiday party, prompting an outpour of support for the family he leaves behind. Keith Harvey, of Belle Meade, was struck by Long Island Rail Road train #380 on Track 17 just before 11:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, MTA spokesperson Renee Price said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. All Amtrak trains were stopped between New York Penn Station and Philadelphia, with delays of up to 45 minutes reported for NJT.  Trains were in motion as of 7:30, but until then, commuters took to Twitter to vent — specifically on Amtrak's post announcing the outage that caused the standstill. Girl Struck, Killed By NJ Transit Train A girl was struck and killed by an NJ Transit train Tuesday in North Jersey. The Morris & Essex line train was heading to Dover in Morris County from New York Penn Station when it struck the girl at 12:15 p.m. in Maplewood, NJ Transit officials said. The incident occurred just west of the station.  Morris and Essex Line rail service was temporarily suspended due to this incident. New Jersey Transit Police are on scene leading the investigation. Sources with direct knowledge of the incident told Daily Voice the girl was 14 years old.

Man Struck, Killed By Train In Elizabeth A man was struck and killed by a train Thursday night in Elizabeth, responders said. Northeast Corridor train 3891 struck the man near W. Grand Street station around 10:45 p.m., NJ Transit spokesman Jim Smith said. Ajay Sah, a junior and Nepalese International student at Drew University in Madison, was last seen Tuesday, Jan. 19 exiting the NJ Transit train in New York Penn Station, police said following the student’s initial disappearance.
