The other four victims injured when the home in the Upper Greenwood Lake section exploded and collapsed on Sept. 22 have since been released from the hospital, Fire Marshal Michael Moscatello said on Friday, Oct. 13. Man, 23, Sentenced For Setting Fatal Fire In South Jersey A 23-year-old Burlington Township man was sentenced to 22 years in New Jersey State Prison for starting a fire that killed a man, authorities said. Newlin Evans IV, who was sentenced on Monday, June 5,  pleaded guilty in January to aggravated manslaughter for setting the fatal fire, according to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw. Under an agreement with the Prosecutor’s Office, Newlin Evans IV entered a guilty plea in Superior Court in Mount Holly to aggravated manslaughter in exchange for a 22-year sentence in state prison, of which 85 percent must be served before he becomes eligible for parole. On May 3, 2022, at approximately 3:46 a.m., Berlin Township police were dispatched to an alarm at the Pure Puff Vape Shop located on the 500 block of Route 73.
