Paramus police captured a Jersey City ex-con who crashed a car stolen out of Orange County into the backyard of a home off the Garden State Parkway and then took off on foot, authorities said. The law firm representing a salesman who suffered a traumatic brain injury in a New Jersey Turnpike crash said it has obtained a $9 million settlement. Ernest Damiani of Monroe, NY, was on his way to a sales call when he pulled onto the Turnpike shoulder in Middlesex County on Aug. 2, 2018, authorities said.
