: North Jersey Teen Killed By Commuter Train
UPDATE: The victim of a fatal commuter train strike in Fair Lawn on Thursday was a township teenager, sources with direct knowledge of the incident said. The 16-year-old boy, who was in the 11th grade, was pronounced dead at the scene, they said. The 66 train on the Port Jervis Line struck the victim between the Broadway station and Morlot Avenue shortly after 4:30 p.m. Oct. 19, said Kyalo Mulumba, the transportation agency's senior public information officer. UPDATE: Two thieves who’d been swiping deliveries from residents' mailboxes led Mahwah police on a stolen car chase onto the Ramapo College campus before the vehicle struck an officer's cruiser and they were captured, authorities said. Palisades Interstate Parkway police found a 1-year-old boy safe and sound in Orange County, NY after his mother's boyfriend abducted him from a Hudson River lookout in New Jersey late Monday afternoon, authorities said.
