8-Year-Old Dead, Three Hurt In Gloucester County Crash
An 8-year-old child died and three other people were injured in a Gloucester County crash Saturday, May 27, authorities said. A Subaru driver was passing vehicles in the center grass median and left shoulder along Route 55 north when they struck a Honda on the driver's side and lost control around 1:45 p.m. in Mantua Township, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Philip Curry said. The Subaru then traveled off the left edge of the pavement and struck an overpass abutment and caught fire. As a result of the crash, the young child died. NJ Man Was Assembling 'Ghost Guns' In His Basement: State Police
A 26-year-old man from South Jersey has. been arrested for manufacturing "ghost guns" after 16 partially-assembled guns and a fully-assembled gun were seized, authorities said, Carlos Castillo of Mantua Township was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm with no serial number, unlawful possession of a weapon, and unlawful possession of firearm parts to manufacture a firearm without a serial number, State Police said. State Police ID Driver, 21, Trapped Under Truck, Killed In South Jersey Crash
A 21-year-old motorist died after getting trapped under a box truck in South Jersey, authorities said. The crash occurred about 8:30 a.m. near mile-marker 53.8 on Route 55 northbound in Mantua Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey State Police said. The driver reportedly was pinned, there was fire and a heavy wrecker was called, reports said. She was identified as Gabrielle Martin of Glassboro, according to NJSP Trooper Brandi Slota.

First Responders Called To Serious South Jersey Crash
Police, firefighters and EMS crews responded to a serious crash along Route 45 in South Jersey, authorities said. The crash occurred about 9 a.m. Thursday at Bridgeton Pike (Route 45) and Monroe Avenue in Mantua Township, Gloucester County, according to initial reports. An unconfirmed report said that at least two people were taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden. The roadway was partially closed for an investigation, reports said. A 23-year-old driver was killed in a Gloucester County collision, authorities said. The fatal crash occurred about 12:30 p.m. Sunday on Barnsboro Road , Mantua Township police said. Oh, deer. Firefighters in Gloucester County encountered an unusual emergency on Tuesday. Mantua Township police received a call at 5:40 a.m. about a deer stuck between the bars of a fence along Wenonah Avenue near McCarthy Avenue. Three people have been charged in connection with a series of recent armed robberies in Gloucester County, authorities said. Monroe Township police responded to a Heritage’s dairy store on Glassboro Road on Saturday for a report of an armed robbery in progress.
