Coast Guard Searches For Missing Jersey Shore Boater, Pair Rescued By Local Police (Developing) One boater remained missing and two others were rescued after a boat capsized in the rough waters of Manasquan Inlet, authorities said. The U.S. Coast Guard was using a helicopter out of Atlantic City and a C-130 cargo plane out of North Carolina to assist in the search off of Point Pleasant, the Coast Guard said on Friday, Sept. 15. A 47-foot motor lifeboat from Manasquan Inlet also was searching the waters. Monster Sandbar Dangerous To Fishing Industry Looms In Manasquan Inlet, Congressman Says Federal officials have agreed to inspect a rising sandbar that threatens commercial fishing and other navigation in Manasquan Inlet.
