Two teens were arrested after police said they tried to steal a car that's been targeted by thieves as part of a social media challenge, authorities said. Galloway Township police said officers responded to a report of three people trying to steal a Kia vehicle on Mohave Drive at around 3:46 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14. Three juveniles were arrested after they attempted to burglarize and steal two cars, authorities said. On Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 5:31 p.m., Atlantic CIty patrol officers responded to the area of North Carolina and Pacific Avenues in reference to three juveniles breaking into vehicles, they said. Teens Arrested After Stolen Car Overheats: Police
A pair of teenagers were arrested after their stolen vehicle overheated, authorities said. On Friday, Aug. 18, at 2:20 p.m., Atlantic City Police Officers Troy Grams and Michael Regalbuto observed a Kia Rio traveling in the area of the 1200 block of Drexel Avenue. The Kia had been reported stolen earlier in the day. The officers attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop when the vehicle sped off leading the officers on a pursuit. Three people were killed in a crash when their car left the Garden State Parkway and struck a tree, authorities said. The crash occurred at 9:52 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 6 on the southbound lanes of the highway near milepost 44.6 in Port Republic in Atlantic County, according to New Jersey State Police. A Kia struck the rear of a Toyota, causing the Kia to lose control and run off the road and hit a tree, State Police said. Three 14-year-old boys were arrested after three Kia cars in Bally’s Atlantic City casino-hotel parking garage were broken into, authorities said. Two of the boys allegedly damaged the steering columns of the Kias while trying to steal them, Atlantic City police said on Facebook. Police in South Brunswick are on the lookout for a man who threatened to "shoot up" two Wawa Convenience Stores. Its Detective Bureau is looking for help in identifying the person of interest in connection with the threats. A 27-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a South Jersey crash on Friday, authorities said. Brandon Agron was heading north on a Kawasaki motorcycle on Route 206 near Amboy Road when he was struck from behind by a 2016 Kia Sedan around 9:45 p.m., Bordentown Township police said.
