He is 5’6” tall and weighs 140 to 160 pounds. Coast Guard Sector New York command center watchstanders received a report Monday, Oct. 23 at 6:30 p.m. from Keyport police that Ding’s kayak was found. Kayakers Rescued By Firefighters In South Jersey A pair of kayakers clung to one craft until they were rescued on Sunday, March 5, authorities said. Robert Clarkin, 52, Longtime Brick Plumber Enjoyed Kayaking Robert V. Clarkin of Brick, a lifelong plumber who enjoyed kayaking, died on Oct. 18. He was 52. Mr. Clarkin was born in Levittown, Pennsylvania, but spent most of his life in Brick, his obituary says.  He worked as a plumber for 35 years.  Robert enjoyed helping others and was always there when someone needed him. Water Search For Missing Emotionally Disturbed Kayaker In Central Jersey First responders in Monmouth County were called to search for a missing person on Friday, who possibly had been out in a kayak, authorities said. An empty kayak was found about 11 a.m. on the Middletown side of the Navesink River in Red Bank, according to initial reports. That is directly across from the Fair Haven Yacht Works, where an emotionally disturbed person had been reported missing.  New Jersey State Police were called to assist Fair Haven police in the water search, a NJSP spokesman said.  This is a developing news story.
