A 56-year-old man from Cumberland County had to be airlifted to a hospital after a fire, authorities said. The fire burned a camper and a detached garage in Hopewell Township on Sunday, April 7, according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron. Troopers responded to a residence on Barretts Run Road at about 9:20 p.m. and found the structures in the backyard of the property on fire, Lebron said. The man, from Bridgeton, suffered "moderate injuries," Lebron said. No other details were available. The cause the fire remains under investigation.

13-Year-Old Among 2 Dead By Driver Making Illegal Pass In Mercer County: Police
Two people including a 13-year-old boy were killed in a head-on crash involving a vehicle that illegally tried to pass other cars on Route 31 in Mercer County, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 10:50 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11. Kongmi Khu, 32, of Brooklyn, NY, will be charged with vehicular manslaughter and other offenses, police said. The search for a missing person ended tragically when their body was found near a New Jersey mountain, authorities said. Tree Falls On Car In Mercer County
Route 29 in Mercer County was temporarily closed after a tree fell on a car, authorities said. The 55-year-old driver was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries, Hopewell Township police said. The tree fell on the vehicle's roof, they said. A metallic object believed to be a meteorite struck the roof of a home in Mercer County, authorities said. The ranch-style home was occupied at the time on Old Washington Crossing - Pennington Road in Hopewell Township, police said. No one was hurt. The oblong objected measured 4 inches by 6 inches, police said. It penetrated the rood and the ceiling before impacting the hardwood floor, police said. A 10-year-old girl from South Jersey was killed in a devastating fire a week ago, authorities said. The girl's school PTA identified the fourth-grader as Mansirat Kaur.
