81-Year-Old Driver Suffered 'Medical Emergency' Before Fatal West Deptford Crash: Police
An 81-year-old driver from West Deptford suffered a "medical emergency" before a fatal crash, authorities said. Tannis Vanderwerken crashed into a utility pole at Grove Avenue and Woodbury Terrance in West Deptford at 5:28 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, police said. Vanderwerken was taken to Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill where she was pronounced dead, police said. The Gloucester County Medical Examiner’s Office said that Vanderwerken died as a result of injuries suffered in the collision, police said.

Charges DIsmissed Against Woman Who Lent Unlicensed Driver Car In Fatal Crash
Charges have been dismissed against a South Jersey woman accused of lending her car to an unlicensed driver who got into a fatal crash. Tisha M. Gargon’s indictment was dismissed in a pre-trial motion hearing over the objection of prosecutors, the Salem County Prosecutor's Office said. Driver ID'd In Fatal Crash On I-295 In Gloucester County
Updated: Firefighters and EMS crews were called to a fatal crash in Gloucester County, authorities said. New Jersey State Police confirmed that the driver of a Honda Fit sustained fatal injuries. The crash occurred at 12:32 p.m. Tuesday on Interstate-295 southbound in Logan Township, according to Sgt. Lawrence Peele, a state police spokesman. The driver was later identified as Gabriel Corino, 20, of Deptford. The car hit a guardrail and Corino was thrown from the vehicle, reports said.
