Jersey Shore House Fire, Man's Death Ruled Not Suspicious: Officials
An Ocean City house fire and the death of a person found at the home are not considered suspicious, officials said. A city spokesperson said there were no "suspicious or intentional" factors about the fire. It happened on the 1900 block of Asbury Avenue at around 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 15. Ronald Reichenbach, 63, was found dead at the house. The cause of his death was pending a toxicology report. Investigators were still working to find out what started the fire.

A hiker from New Jersey complaining of chest discomfort and breathing problems collapsed and died while hiking in the Catskills last weekend, officials said. The man was identified by the Times Union as Ravi K. Vegiraju, 50, of Morganville. The incident happened in Greene County in the hamlet of Lanesville around 8:50 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 16. Funeral services were announced for Deptford Police Officer Robert J. “Bobby” Shisler, 27, who died Sunday, May.7 as a result of a gunshot wound in March. Shisler’s service is scheduled for noon on May 17 at Rowan University’s Pfleeger Concert Hall in Glassboro. Authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body was found at a Rodeway Inn in Burlington County. Human remains were found by a transportation department worker on Route 80, state police confirmed. The NJDOT worker was mowing the grass when the remains were found near the eastbound lanes on the right shoulder in the grass at milepost 16.6 in Allamuchy shortly after 12:25 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, NJSP Trooper Charles Marchan told DailyVoice.com. The remains were identified as those of a Black male, Marchan said. The cause of death is unknown. The incident is under investigation. Additional details were not released.
