A 43-year-old woman was killed and four children were injured in a crash involving a dump truck Thursday, June 20 in Cumberland County, police said. A Chrysler SUV operated by Brandy Woolson, of Millville, was heading west on Highland Street in Commercial Township when a Mack dump truck heading north on Steep Run Road failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the SUV just before 9 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. A home exploded in Cumberland County causing heavy damage and leaving one resident injured, authorities said. Video from a 6abc.com television helicopter shows smoke billowing from the home that also caught fire on Battle Lane in Commercial Township. The roof was ripped off and there was a damaged vehicle visible from the 4:45 a.m. blast on Monday, May 13. Upon arrival of New Jersey State Police, the residence was fully engulfed in flames. Cumberland County Man, 64, Found Guilty Of Sexually Assaulting 4-Year-Old Girl: Prosecutor
A 64-year-old man from Millville has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl, authorities said. Marvin Stidham was convicted by a Cumberland County jury on Thursday, Jan. 25 of second-degree sexual assault and third-degree child endangerment, according to county Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae. Stidham was acquitted on a charge of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, she said. Motorcyclist Dies Of Injuries From South Jersey Crash:

A Cumberland County man died of his injuries from a motorcycle crash, authorities said. Jason Derby, 50, of Commercial Township, was riding eastbound on Route 767 in the township at about 7:30 a.m. on May 26. Derby's motorcycle left the road and struck two street signs and a tree, according to New Jersey State Police. Derby suffered serious injuries and died the next day, police said. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Motorist Trapped In South Jersey Crash: Developing
A motorist was trapped in a crash in South Jersey, according to developing and unconfirmed reports. The crash occurred at about 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9 at East Buckshutem and Spring Garden roads in Commercial Township, initial reports said. 22-Year-Old Driver Dies In Route 55 Crash
A 22-year-old man died after he lost control of his car and a crashed in Gloucester County, authorities said. Zachary Hansen, of Commercial Township, was traveling north on State Highway 55 in Franklin Township early Dec. 10, when he veered off the side of the road near milepost 40.8, New Jersey State Police Trooper Brandi Slota said. Hansen's vehicle -- a Scion -- overturned struck a southbound side guardrail, ejecting him, Slota said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are still investigating the accident.
