Washington Township Twins, 23, Killed In Crash Were Each Other's Closest Friends, Obits Say
Services have been finalized for a pair of 23-year-old twin brothers killed in a Vineland crash. John and Patrick Mahoney, both of Washington Township, died in a collision on Tuesday, June 4 at Union and Mays Landing Roads, as previously reported by Daily Voice. Police said John was driving a Toyota Yaris when he failed to yield to a Ford F-250 operated by an 81-year-old, which caused the crash. The Yaris driver was hospitalized as a precaution. Nursing Mothers Closer To Opting Out Of Jury Duty In NJ
Here's another excuse to get you out of serving on a jury. The New Jersey Senate approved a bill, 38-0, that would exempt nursing mothers from jury duty. The bill was sponsored by Majority Leader M. Teresa Ruiz (D-Essex/Hudson) and Brian Stack (D-Hudson.) Sudden Death Of NJ High Schooler Prompts Outpouring Of Support
The community is mourning the loss of a 17-year-old boy whose "life was just beginning" when he was killed in a car accident. Jayson Lee Cugliari of Forked River had just been accepted to the college of his choice, Stockton University. He was working and getting ready for Christmas, according to a GoFundMe page. The senior at Lacey Township High School was killed in a car accident on Dec. 9. Jayson worked at the Goddard School in Forked River where he was adored by students and staff. Couple Found Dead In North Jersey Home
UPDATE: Two young children were being cared for after authorities found their parents dead in their Rochelle Park home on Saturday. The bodies of Mandy Staples, 35, and her ex-husband Marcos Gagnon, 43, who'd been living in Atlantic County, were found on the second floor of their Schlosser Drive home around 11 a.m., Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. The children -- ages 5 and 6 -- were found unharmed in the home and were being cared for, responders said.
