Two crashes with injuries were reported on Interstate 295 in Mercer and Burlington counties, authorities said. The first crash occurred at about 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14 on I-295 southbound south of Exit 75 (Bear Tavern Road) in Ewing Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Based on a preliminary investigation a vehicle traveling south lost directional control and ran off the roadway, according to State Police. No injuries were reported, police said. A man and woman from Lakewood were killed after crashing into a snowplow truck on the Garden State Parkway in Monmouth County, authorities said. State police said an SUV driven by 29-year-old Eliyahu Naydavoud was heading north on the parkway in Tinton Falls around 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15. A 27-year-old man was killed in a crash on Black Horse Pike Saturday, Dec. 23 in Hamilton (Atlantic County), police said. James Rodriguez, of Minotola, was heading west in a 2008 Mazda Miata when the car left the road and struck multiple trees just before midnight near Route 50, Hamilton Township police said. Rodriguez was pronounced deceased at the scene and traffic was diverted for approximately three hours. Driver, 78, Killed, Passenger Seriously Injured After Car Strikes Tree In Mercer County: Police
A 78-year-old man who suffered a medical emergency died after his car struck a tree in Mercer County, authorities said. Jared Fowler, of Pennington, was driving near Fackler Road and Deer Run at about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7 when he veered off the road, Lawrence Township police said. Fowler was taken to Capital Health Systems Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said. His passenger, Janne Fowler, 78, was taken to the hospital with significant but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Authorities have released the identities of two of the three people killed in a Lakewood crash over the weekend. Route 29 in Mercer County was temporarily closed after a tree fell on a car, authorities said. Six people including the driver were injured when a New Jersey Transit bus was rear-ended by another vehicle, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17 on bus route 508 at Atlantic and Chelsea avenues in Atlantic City, according to Jim Smith, a NJ Transit spokesman. A 54-year-old man struck and killed by a driver has been identified. Frank Molter Jr., of Somers Point, was hit along Route 52 in front of the Economy Motel on Saturday night, July 23. He was struck in the westbound lane by a vehicle operated by a 59-year-old Mt. Laurel woman. He worked at Bally's Atlantic City, according to his Facebook page.
