Browns Mills Man Found Guilty Of Setting House Fire That Killed His Mother, 92; Her Companion A 62-year-old man from South Jersey has been found guilty of igniting a house fire that claimed two lives, authorities said. Kurt Smith, who lived at the residence in the 500 block of Willow Boulevard in Browns Mills was convicted for causing the death of his elderly mother and her companion, according to Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina. The house fire happened in October 2018 in the Browns Mills section of Pemberton Township, he said. Maple Shade Man Indicted On Murder Charge In Roommate's Deadly Beating, Prosecutor Says An indictment charging a 51-year-old man from Maple Shade with murder in the beating his roommate was returned last month, authorities said. Dave Lake was indicted on a first degree murder charge Oct. 22 and signed by Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina.  An arraignment will be held next month in Superior Court in Mount Holly, Coffina said. Kitchen Knife Neck Stabbing Leads To Attempted Murder Charge, Burlington Prosecutor Says A South Jersey man is facing an attempted murder charge after stabbing another man in the neck early Sunday morning, authorities said Monday. Burlington City police were called to a 500 block of Linden Avenue home just after 7 a.m. on reports of a stabbing, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and City of Burlington Police Chief John Fine said.
