$70.4M Sale Of NJ Mall Means $155.7M Loss For Investors, Report Says
Seventy million may seem like a lot. But context is everything. New Jersey's troubled Woodbridge Center sold to an unnamed buyer for $70.4 million in February, according to credit-rating firm Kroll. While the sale resolved a loan issue, investors suffered a $155.7 million loss, Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) said. Plant Worker Dies In Central Jersey Industrial Accident: Reports
A plant worker died in a Central Jersey industrial accident this week, various reports say. The female worker died in a heavy machinery accident at United Premium Foods on Amboy Avenue in Woodbridge Township, Friday afternoon, July 28, CBS News reports. Lenore Uddyback-Fortson, regional director for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) confirmed an investigation is underway. Route 9 Sign Honoring High School Cheerleader Killed In Crash Ordered Removed, Mom Says
The sign honoring 16-year-old Jennifer Metzger has stood along Route 9 in Woodbridge Township for nearly a decade. Now, officials want it gone. The Colonia High School cheerleader was killed in a single-car crash in 2009. Jennifer's parents established the JEMMS Foundation Inc., a year after her death, to provide scholarships to high school students in her nae and raises awareness toward reckless driving. Pedestrian Struck Dead By Hit-Run Car On Garden State Parkway
New Jersey State Police seek the public’s help with a fatal hit-and-run crash on the Garden State Parkway that killed a 31-year-old pedestrian from Elizabeth last week. Based on the preliminary investigation, detectives determined that at approximately 12:45 a.m. on May 25, Felipe Dos Santos was walking northbound on the shoulder of the parkway hear milepost 130.4 in Woodbridge Township, according to New Jersey State Police.
