UPDATE: Federal authorities have taken custody of an accused child porn trafficker from the Jersey Shore who they said had online sex with at least two minors he met on a social media app. Ocean County prosecutor’s detectives initially investigated Christopher Budelman, 36, of Brick, leading to an arrest in late September 2022. An apparent lawsuit over an off-season drowning has led to the closure of popular Jersey Shore beaches, authorities said. A teacher saved a Jersey Shore swimmer in distress while surfing over the weekend, and he just so happened to capture it on video. US Marine Steve Houser, of Toms River, went to LBI Sunday, Sept. 3, to film a promo video for one of Tandm Surf's boards Oh, what a video they got. Nearly a dozen swimmers were rescued along two New Jersey beaches on Sunday, Sept. 3. Six swimmers in distress were rescued by Belmar lifeguards and water rescue members at the 6th Avenue beach around 6:05 p.m., police said. Man Killed Ex-Wife In Jersey Shore Murder-Suicide: Police
Police have identified the two people killed in a Jersey Shore weekend murder-suicide. Carl Schulz, Jr., 52, is believed to have broken into his ex-wife Kimberly Hoffman's apartment on Whitemarsh Court in Little Egg Harbor, early Saturday, July 29, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said. Hoffman called police around 5:10 a.m. saying someone was breaking into her home. Responding officers found her suffering a gunshot wound to her face, and a deceased dog who had also been shot, Billhimer said. A 14-year-old boy rammed a Paramus police vehicle with an SUV stolen from the Jersey Shore before he and two companions were captured, authorities said.
