Man, 42, Killed By Train In Garfield ID'd As Hackensack Resident
Police have identified the person struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit train on Tuesday morning, Oct. 1.
Tameko Joseph, 42, of Hackensack, was struck by Bergen County Line train 1154 near the Garfield Station, near Outwater Lane, just before 7:50 a.m., a spokesperson for the agency said.
The train had left Suffern, N.Y. at 7:09 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken at 8:14 a.m.
There were no reported injuries to the 600 customers or crew on board. Bergen County Line service was temporarily suspended but has since resumed with 60-minute delays.

Man Purposely Hit Goose With E-Bike, Hoboken Police Say
A 30-year-old Hoboken man was arrested and charged on Wednesday, Sept. 11 after he intentionally hit a goose with an e-bike, authorities said.
At 5:35 p.m., officers responded to Pier A park on reports that a person hit a goose on purpose with a bike, Hoboken police said. Police found Andrew Mullin, who fit the description of the individual, and arrested him, officers said.
Mullin was charged with cruelty to animals and issued summons for riding an e-bike on a walkway, police said. He was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, police said.

Officials have released the identity of the pedestrian struck and killed by a train in Bergen County this week.
Tara Yannette, 32, of Wallington, was near Plauderville Station in Garfield when she was struck just before 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, NJ Transit spokesman John Chartier said.
