Drive-In Movies Coming To Walmart Parking Lots Movies at Walmart aren't only on the shelves these days -- they'll soon be on big screens in select parking lots. The chain is teaming up with Tribeca to offer drive-in theaters in 160 of its lots starting in August. In a separate, star=studded endeavor, the retail giant is creating a "virtual" summer camp for children cooped up by cabin fever because of the coronavirus. Cinemas, one of the drive-in theaters coming to the area, has announced its first wave of showtimes and made tickets available. "Up" will begin at 6 p.m., and "Spaceballs" will begin at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, June 26 at the Rockleigh Country Club. Each $50 ticket includes parking and a $20 food credit to be used at the event. Food sales will begin one hour prior to showtime and end 15 minutes after the show begins. Hillsdale Officials Vote In Favor Of Drive-In Theater, Expected To Run 7 Days Per Week The summer movie series at Demarest Farm is on -- and movies will be allowed to run seven days a week. The majority of Hillsdale council members during a special meeting Tuesday voted in favor of passing a resolution to temporarily suspend a zoning ordinance in the farm's section (R1) to allow a drive-in theater. The resolution was formally passed at the end of the meeting and will be signed by the mayor and borough clerk once finalized. Frank Pizzella voted and Zoltan Horvath were the two council members who voted against the resolution. The permit will be for the summer season only a…
