Arthur J. Washington, 71, Of Cortlandt Manor
CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. – Arthur J. Washington, a longtime resident of Cortlandt Manor and formerly of Utica, N.Y., died on Friday, May 27. He was 71.
Washington was born on July 20, 1944 in Unadilla, Ga., to Ernest and Mamie (Lane) Washington.
He served in the Army and retiring from AT&T in White Plains after 19 years as a supervisor.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Conwell); two sons, Arthur Jr. and his wife, Adriane, Philip and his wife, Kelli, daughter Teretha Allaway and her husband, Stuart; four grandchildren, and two sisters, Cleola Crawford and Carolyn Walker.

Isaia (Saio) Di Leo, 79, Of Mount Vernon
MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. – Isaia (Saio) Di Leo of Mount Vernon died Saturday, May 28. He was 79.
Di Leo was born in Guardia Lombardi, Italy, on Dec. 3, 1936, to Angelo and Donata (Tota) Di Leo. He emigrated from Italy and worked as a skilled mason until retiring from Vernon Hills Corp.
He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Domenico; and three sisters, Rosa, Almerinda and Lucia.
Di Leo is survived by wife Francesca (Antoinette); a son John and his wife Lily; a daughter, Angela Sala and her husband, Joe; four grandchildren; and his siblings, Generoso and Francesco.

Arleen Schultz, 57, Of Brookfield
BROOKFIELD, Conn. – Arleen M. Schultz, of Brookfield, died on Sunday, May 29. She was 57.
Schultz was born in Danbury on Nov. 3, 1958.
She was predeceased by her mother Arleen Pisco, and is survived by her husband Charles, three children, Charles, Roland of Gaylordsville and Elizabeth of Bethel, 12 grandchildren, three sisters, Diane of Waynesboro, Va., Paula of New Fairfield, Sue of Bethel, three brothers, Paul of Wolcott, Danny of New York, and Drice of Danbury, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Martin Kantor, 87, Formerly Of Mamaroneck
MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Martin Kantor, formerly of Mamaroneck and White Plains, died May 28. He was 87.
Kantor was retired from a career in organic and pharmaceutical chemistry, working as a district leader for the Democratic Party, a docent at the Neuberger Museum, and an active member of The Old Guard men's organization.
He was predeceased by his wife, Eileen. He is survived by his partner, Joann H. Brown; two sons, Kenneth of Berkeley, Calif., and Eric of Ossining; and three grandchildren.

YONKERS, N.Y. – Lenore "Chickie" R. Holmstrom of Yonkers died Sunday, May 29. She was 102.
Holmstrom was born Oct. 3, 1913, in New York to Giuseppe and Mary (nee Basso) Caruso.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Wilbur; two sons, Robert and Leonard; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 1, at 11 a.m. at Ferncliff Crematory, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale.

Erich Georg Hans Zyla, 80, Of West Nyack
WEST NYACK, N.Y. – Erich Georg Hans Zyla, of West Nyack, died May 26 of cancer. He was 80.
Zyla was born April 26, 1936, in Liegnitz, Germany, to Georg and Ottilia Zyla, surviving Nazi Germany with his mother and brother Winfried after his father's death.
After the war, his family moved to East Germany and was sponsored to come to America in February 1957 after escaping the country. He became an American citizen in 1966.

PEARL RIVER, N.Y. – Katherine Teresa (Kathleen) Conway, of Pearl River, died on Friday, May 27, at Nyack Hospital after a brief illness. She was 78.
She was born on Oct. 22, 1937, to Bernard and Bridget (Lynch) Fegan in Kilcogy, Mullahoran, County Cavan, Ireland, emigrating to the United States in 1961.
Conway worked at Emigrant Savings Bank before graduating from Rockland Community College with an associate degree in accounting, and going on to work for Lehn and Fink in Montvale, N.J., for 12 years.

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – Marion Bianchi, of Eastchester, died on Saturday, May 28. She was 71.
She is survived by her daughter Lauren Ruffo and her husband Edward; two grandchildren;, and siblings Eileen O'Mara and Glenn Serrano.
