Two teachers who were in the office sustained minor injuries but went to the hospital as a precuation, Lt. Richard Uram told Daily Voice.

The driver refused medical attention, he said.

"It's unclear exactly what happened, but she was pulling into the lot when the SUV went through the metal-grade window," the lieutenant said

Two classrooms above the office were evacuated as a precaution, but Uram said the building was fine.

"It didn't hit any brick or cause any structural damage. There are no cracks," he said. "It punched out the window into the office."

The Toyota RAV4 was towed out and the window boarded up, he said.

"It could have been worse," Uram said. "There could have been kids in that lot."
