GARFIELD, N.J. -- Stefan Ekiert, of Garfield, died Aug. 29. He was 68.
He was born July 20, 1948, in Poland , residing there for 33 years before moving to Garfield 35 years ago.
He was contractor operating his own business and a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church, Garfield.
He is survived by his son Adam and his wife Monika; brother Zbigniew Ekiert; sister Grazyna LaPierre; and one grandchild.
The funeral is on Friday, arriving at 8:30 a.m. at the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave, Garfield followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 184 Ray St., Garfield. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Saddle Brook.
