LODI, N.J. – Richard Komar Sr., of Lodi, died Tuesday, Feb. 23. He was 74.
He was an avid golfer, fisherman and enjoyed Western movies. He worked in his brother Butch's trucking company, Komar Trucking, for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Alice, of 49 years; his children, Rich Jr. of Lodi, Cathie and her husband, Manfred Steigans, of Lodi, John and his wife, Nikki, of Montrose, Colo., and Kevin and his wife, Mary Ann, of River Edge; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brothers of Butch and Bruce Komar.
He was predeceased by his sister, Doris Vayenas.
Visiting will take place Sunday, Feb. 28, from noon-2 p.m. at the Alesso Funeral Home, 91 Union St., Lodi, followed by a private cremation. A no-flowers request has been made and donations to the family would be appreciated.
