Max Movie 'Sweethearts' Filmed In Bergen County Out Thanksgiving Day On Max Nearly a dozen New Jersey towns serve as the backdrop for the Max Original film "Sweethearts," set to debut this Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28.  The romantic comedy starring Kiernan Shipka and Nico Hiraga was filmed in Cranford, Jersey City, and Mahwah. Two cast members have Garden State ties: Jake Bonjiovi, son of NJ rocker Jon Bon Jovi, and former "Saturday Night Live" star Chloe Troast, of Ho-Ho-Kus, are featured actors in "Sweethearts." Romantic-Comedy Filming In North Jersey Casting Men, Women To Play Failed Dates A romantic comedy filming in Morris County next month is casting several paid parts. Men and women ages 18 to 40 are wanted to play failed dates in a movie called "The Long Island Plunge," by Hondo Films, the casting call says. Filming will be March 10 to 16 in Long Valley, and roles pay $200 for an estimated eight hours of work.
