College Student Gets 10 Years For Stabbing Mom Dead In Rahway Home
A 26-year-old Rahway woman was sentenced to 10 years in state prison on Friday, Jan. 26 after being found guilty of fatally stabbing her mother on in Feb. 2020 authorities said. Malika Jones was sentenced after being convicted of aggravated manslaughter, Union County Prosecutor William Daniel and Rahway Police Director Nicholas Breiner said. On Feb. 16, 2020 the Rahway Police Department responded to 100 East Albert Street and found Inell Jones, 58, fatally stabbed at the scene, authorities said. NJ Dog Training Center Ordered Shut After Videos Showing Disturbing Animal Abuse Surface
A Rahway dog training center has been ordered shut after videos showing workers abusing animals began surfacing on social media. Bubba Luv Dog Training and Rescue, located on Main Street, was issued a notice to vacate based on violations of uniform construction code, Mayor Raymond Giacobbe said. Members of the health department conducted and inspection and examined all dogs at the facility, the mayor added, noting the animals were in good condition. A 31-year-old man has been charged with murder in the weekend killing of the 44-year-old victim in Union County, authorities said. The body of a Linden public schools employee who has been missing for weeks was recovered from the Rahway River Saturday morning, authorities said. A Rahway drug dealer who sold a lethal cocktail of narcotics that killed at least three people was sentenced Tuesday to 13 years in state prison, the Union County Prosecutor’s Office said. George Rayford, 39, must serve at least 85 percent of the sentence before becoming eligible for parole. Rayford sold crack cocaine laced with fentanyl from his Whelan Place home on Dec. 22, 2017.
