County Human Services Aide Swiped Victim's Benefits Card For Herself: Bergen Prosecutor
A Bergen County human services aide stole an electronic benefit transfer card, then spent $2,700 from the victim’s account in cash, authorities charged. Seqiera M. Washington, 44, of Elmwood Park was hired as a full-time human services aid by the Bergen County Board of Social Services in August 2022, records show. Bergen Judge Nixes Sex-Discrimination Suit Filed By Retired Rochelle Park Police Officer
A judge in Hackensack on Tuesday dismissed a gender-discrimination complaint filed by a retired Rochelle Park police officer. Donna Porcaro sued the township, the police department and Police Chief Robert Flannelly two years ago, claiming that she was denied opportunities that her male co-workers got and was the victim of harassment and inappropriate comments in a hostile work environment. Two Bergen County residents are among the 27 New Jersey Superior Court judges confirmed on Thursday. According to the New Jersey Law Journal, the two judges are: Carol Catuogno of Franklin Lakes: an assistant Bergen County prosecutor who has been with the office since 1998.
